You wrap yourself in it in the bitter cold like a baby in a wrap. The surroundings cease to be an inhospitable and harsh environment, where only the most resilient or hairy will survive. The growth on the neck is not exactly a form of protection that we would imagine on our body.

In the knitted arms, the neck is pleasantly curled, icicles disappear from the learning lobes, his chin twitches on a warm pillow. I don’t understand a single thing. But why wear the long meters that Lenny Kravitz made famous?

ON THE TRAIL OF A MAXI SCARF

We recently watched a young lady. Although temperatures had been hovering at zero for several days like an acrobat on a rope facing an inevitable fall, she seemed unable to decide what time of year she was.

She was wearing a short summer skirt, autumn ankle boots, a short spring jacket over her, and a giant bushy scarf wrapped around her neck, which looked more like a hungry python trying to strangle its owner.

STREET CLEANING?

Another wearer of a maxi scarf of several square meters freed herself from a deadly grip and left her “wild animal” just hanging casually around her neck. I am always pleased to see that people are not indifferent to their surroundings. This young lady was a shining example. She pulled the edges of the scarf across the floor, clearing the path she had just taken. Or was she just trying to sweep the tracks?

THE RIGHT FUNCTION OF THE MAXI SCARF

The longer I watch women wearing a maxi scarf, the better I understand its practical use. Surprisingly, it does not keep the neck warm, it would certainly handle a scarf of more modest dimensions. It’s not even an attempt to sweep the space around me, although it’s certainly commendable and the awareness of the wearers of extra long scarves never ceases to impress me.

The real function of the maxi scarf is probably really warm, but anything else but the neck. Once a woman has a maxi scarf wrapped around her, she naturally has another part of her body exposed. Most often ankles or straight whole legs. I think that women do not wear a maxi scarf to protect their neck. But so that they could wrap themselves in it like a blanket, until their feet resembled Mrazík’s staff.
