Mud Cake is a classic treat that is sure to take every tongue out. Sometimes, however, for traditional flavors, it’s worth trying a new twist and that’s why our interest arose when we saw Valio’s cinnamon mud cake recipe and decided to test this winter mud cake without chocolate with the kids.
When baking with kids, the ease of the recipe is definitely a plus to keep things under control and have fun with everyone. It only took us about half an hour to make this delicious and wonderful winter cake. Thanks for the winter, there is a ready-made cinnamon cream that serves as a substitute for chocolate in the recipe.
This creates a mud cake without chocolate
We needed:
1 dl oil
1 dl sugar
3 eggs
2 ½ dl wheat flour
½ teaspoons baking powder
1 tbsp cinnamon cream whipped
cream (and dried berry crumbs)
Here’s how to make a cinnamon mud cake:
- We mixed all the ingredients for the dough together. We stretched the baking paper between the edge and the bottom of the loose bottom pan (diameter 20 cm). We poured the dough into a pan.
- We baked the cake in the middle of a 200-degree oven for about 15 minutes. We kept in mind that the cake should be left to flow in the middle as long as it is ripe on the surface and edges. We let the cake cool and removed it from the baking pan.
- We extruded whipped cream roses on the surface with the children and garnished with dried berry grits.
We have to say that a mud cake doesn’t really always need chocolate! This version is perfect for Christmas and the cold of winter. However, if you later miss something really chocolate, then test the sinfully good Rocky road chocolate muffins .
