we do not have to give up the summer wardrobe completely. Some pieces can be worn all year round, even in the harshest frosts.

TANK TOP

The pulled-out cotton shirt with lace, which would make a monk even a retired gigolo, can be easily replaced by a summer tank top. Ideally close-fitting, long enough and made of natural material. You can either admit the tank top under the T-shirt or sweater and choose a contrasting color, or choose a body shade – no one will know that you are wearing an extra layer.

TOP OF SWIMSUIT LIKE A BRA

you can wear the upper part of the swimsuit in style even in winter, without looking like you have just canceled your flight on an exotic holiday. The patterned top can subtly shine through, for example, under a transparent shirt. The swimsuit with an interestingly designed binding will then stand out in a sweater with its back exposed.

SARONG LIKE A SCARF

Sarong or pareo is for me one of the best “inventions” of all time. In summer, I can wear it as a dress, skirt, scarf, head or shoulder cover, it will serve as a blanket by the water and as a light blanket on a plane. And in winter? It perfectly replaces a thick scarf. It takes up a minimum of space in your purse and weighs less than the first issue of Vogue.

But you don’t have to pretend to be a piece of summer clothing for something they aren’t. This year I am preparing for these combinations, in which the summer uppers do not “transform” and still make a show.

WHITE SHIRT + TURTLENECK

You can pull on a loose white shirt or a long-sleeved shirt dress over a tight black turtleneck. Leave the buttons of the shirt open just enough to look at the stand-up collar.

SHORTS + STOCKINGS

I’ve already written about why I hate tights . If you do not have such a problem with them, boldly wear summer shorts for your stockings. Avoid only the denim ones, so that you don’t look like a worn-out rock star, which is already cold on your old knees. I recommend combining it with ankle boots and a short unbuttoned jacket or oversize jacket.

TUNIC + JEANS

On the other hand, do not wear tights for summer tunics. Instead, choose skinny jeans in a light color. You can carry this combination even during the old summer before it hits the real winter frosts. Then really put the tunic on the bottom of the closet, so that you don’t look like Rusalka, who got lost to Mrazík.
